What It Is

Open Distance Learning (ODL) is a mode of study that eliminates the necessity for teachers and students to be at the same time and at the same place.

ODL offers flexibility for both teachers and students that need to conduct teaching and learning activities with their own space and time. Therefore, this mode of study is suitable for working adults, which they can work and learn at the same time.

We at International College of Yayasan Melaka (ICYM) offers great opportunity for working adults who want to pursue their studies without leaving their job. You can choose your own learning time, anytime and anywhere without coming to our college. Our Learning Management System (LMS) contains all learning theories, activities, and assessments that enable you to acquire diploma at your own convenience.

All the teaching and learning activities are conduct 100% online using our LMS. Once you register you will get an id and password for the LMS access and you can start to learn.

How ?

Register With us. We offer two diploma programmes which are Diploma in Accounting and Diploma in Information Technology.

Login to our Learning Management System (e-class). Explore our system. We provide orientation course, user manual, and helpdesk to assist you in anything regarding your study. Have a peek.
Register Course. You must register for several courses per semester. Refer to program structure. Each course will have its own course page in e-class that contains eBooks, slides, videos, and activities to get marks for the course.
Participate in Activities. Every week, there are some activities (assignments, quizzes, tests, lab works, and project) you must complete for each course based on the course assessment. These activities will be put into each course by the lecturer assigned. Complete the activities anytime during the weeks and get the feedback from the lecturer. All of these will be done using eclass.
Examination. At the end of the semester, there will be final examination for students to sit. Exam will be conducted asynchronous online where you can answer it anytime during the week but with limited answering duration.
End of the semester. Finally, wait for your result and register for the next semester.

The Program

Synopsis
This program provides knowledge and skills in designing, implementing, and manage issues related to cyber security. Through the process of learning about cyber threats, network security, malware issues and computer forensics, students will have the ability to meet the demands of the job market in the field of security computers and networks. In addition, this program is equipped with safety management courses information, issues of response and handling of incidents and also knowledge of the law Cyber. In addition, they are also offered with related practice in the field of science computer and programming.
Entry Requirements
- Possess a Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least honors in any subject including Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
- Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum Grade C (Subject Grade Value, NGMP 2.0) in any subject or equivalent and honors in Mathematics subject at SPM level or equivalent; OR
- Passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum Grade Maqbul (pass) and honors in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; OR
- Passed Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 and honors in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; OR
- Pass any qualification equivalent to a Certificate (Level 3 of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework, KKM) and honors in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent.

Synopsis
Diploma in Accounting programme aims to produce graduates with the fundamental knowledge and technical skills for the semi-professional accounting workforce to meet the public and private sectors’ needs.
Upon completion of this programme, graduates pursue a career in the field of accounting and finance at the semi-professional level. The graduates of this diploma also able to further their education and training to qualified as professional accountants.
Entry Requirements
- PASS Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with minimum THREE (3) CREDITS including MATHEMATICS/Accounting AND;
- PASSED in MATHEMATICS and ENGLISH OR;
- Other recognized qualifications are equivalent to it by Government of Malaysia.

For international students, Score Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL) 500 OR Score International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 5.0 OR equivalent qualification.
